The road to the finals………..

………..is going through the Q! Many franchise firsts have been achieved this season, but none as important as this. The Cavs not only have home court advantage through the eastern conference playoffs, but in the finals as well, should they get that far. That awful Sunday afternoon in Boston where the Cavs were oh so close to winning game 7 of the Eastern Conference Finals in Boston motivated the team to take a step back, asses their areas of need, and fill those voids. They have done so, and what Cavaliers fans see right now is a team that seemingly can do no wrong.

Cleveland sports fans waiting for the other shoe to drop need to look no further than the 2004 Boston Red Sox. Those guys didnt’ give a damn about the so called “curse.” There is no such thing as curses in sports. There is winning, and there is losing. It all comes down to execution. The heartbreak that the Browns and Indians have endured has nothing to do with 2009 (not that I personally care–my interest in Cleveland sports starts and stops with the Cavaliers).

Just one more piece of business to take care of Wednesday night vs. Philadelphia. A win means 40-1 at home for the season. You know my feelings about that. Go for it. Plus, it’s fan appreciation night. They want to see it. They have certainly had a lot to appreciate this season.
